  • I found this course amazing, it gave me a new view on parenting and helped not only with our new addition but with my eldest too. It's taught me how to enjoy every stage of my children and how to nagivate through hard times.

  • The ideas and discussions have re-enforced my beliefs in how I want to parent and also re-affirms that we are all only trying to do our best, which is good enough. The classes are extremely validating. It's a wonderful course and I wish I could continue indefinitely.

    Jana

  • A big thank you Jacqui, the way you facilitate this program is wonderful. I have taken a lot away from this and things seem to be a lot calmer in my house now.

    Rochelle

  • "I'm very grateful to have had the chance to do the course with you Jacqui. You truely embody the philosophy behind the course teachings with your calm and gentle approach, and the way you listened and responded to us and the individual parenting challenges we were facing. You created a safe space conducive to the learning on many levels. Your years of experience as a facilitator and your EFT wisdom are very evident. We are so lucky to have you delivering this course in Southland."

    - Rachael

  • "The simple and effective information just made sense and I wish I'd known it earlier, as it would have stopped me scrolling for hours trying to find the answers"

    - Sarah

  • "I absolutely loved the course that Jacqui delivered and it has shaped the way my husband and I parent our daughter. Jacqui has a calm, gentle approach with both the adults and the babies and provides a safe space to share and learn together with no judgement. I highly recommend this course!

Classes are based on

Over 75 years of research from the Pikler Institute in Budapest. Dr Emmi Pikler was a family paediatrician who 'watched the babies'  and discovered just how much they could do in their own time and in their own way. Her common sense and respectful partnership approach, has stunning results, that people travel from all over the world to witness.

Pennie Brownlee developed these classes from those teachings to reflect our New Zealand culture and classes are presented by those who have attended her 'Dance with me in the Heart' Training.

Other's have developed Dr Emmi Pikler's work that you may have heard of    - such as Magda Gerber - RIE &  Janet Lansbury etc.

What happens in class?

Sessions hold a familar routine and rhythm that provides a sense of safety and predictability for both the parent and baby.

There is a perfect balance between forming connections with others and learning about your baby's growth, needs and development.

Each session includes a quiet time, where the adults don’t talk. Not only does this give parents an opportuntiy to ‘pause’, it also allows parents to see their babies with new eyes.

Parents gain skills in supporting and extend their baby’s independant play and natural movement.
